RELEASES:

Deep london records Miami WMC Sampler 2009 - First up is an emotional slice of soulfulness from Candy Apple Productions featuring the sublime voice of Anjou who delivers a stunning heartfelt vocal over a lush house soundscape. Sunny afro vibes come courtesy of French DJ/Producer Deep Y'All (aka DJ Rico) who delivers 'Building of Deep' featuring vocal stabs from Kathrin. Injecting some proper funk into the house, Stan-ley delivers a hot remix of Africa Got Soul's brilliant cover of Temptations classic 'Papa Was A Rolling Stone' laced with funky guitars and infectious jazz flavas from South African Jazz band Abavuki. Rounding off the package is a remix from upcoming producer Garphie (recently signed to Soul Heaven) who conjours up an intense deep infectious groove riddled with haunting synths on Stan-ley's own production, 'Love Me Or Leave Me'.

REVIEWS:

Shannon Harris - Chicago
"1 candy apple ft anjou - leaving you (original mix) - i love the dubby intro which builds into a groovy late night mesmerizing romantic jam. the horn solo's with dubby effects on the vocals really compliment one another. i am also feeling the synthesizer chords as well. composition and content wise i think we have a winner here.
2 deep y'all aka dj rico - building of deep (afrodeep mix) - i really see this choon making a big impact in miami. it has the formula for a dance floor banger. the beat is straight to the point with the over laying of the neo soulish vocals compliment one another well. i can't wait to rock this one on a system!!
3 africa got soul ft abavuki - papa was a rolling stone (dj stan-ley township ingroove vocal mix) - the beat, horns and groove are really catchy!! this is an interesting spin on the original song. it's definitely a afrobeat twist with soul.
4 stan-ley - love me or leave me (dj garphie raw mix) - this screams big room with a killer sound system all over it."

DJ Meme - Brazil
"lovin the candy apple song ! bring it more !!"

Quentin Harris
"There's something quirky about the songs on this EP. That's probably what makes them sort of appealing. Building Of Deep & Love Me Or Leave Me are the standouts."

Jon Cutler
"Building of Deep...afrodopeness!!!"

Domu
This EP is a classy blend of the styles of house music i love. A trifle funky, a little bit acid, but throughout it is quality AND quantity. Faves are Africa Got Soul and Love Me or Leave Me. The afro vibe on the former is just right to bubble up the dancers, and the depth and groove on the drums and bass on the latter is perfect for the late night heads bounce!

DJ Pope
"I am really digging the leaving you track"

ABOUT DEEP LONDON

Deep London are the words that depict the story of two world class DJs with a sincere love for house. Coming from afar to find their home, they delved further into the world of the underground.where they discovered an adoration for "dark" soulful dance. This inspired them to create a stage from which a great expression for this love would nourish.

A love of the deep.

DJ Stan-ley and Johnny Kaz provide the soundtrack to their story. They weave a complex and joyful selection of beats that infuse, move, inspire, touch and elevate each room they play. All this while letting go of their warm and contagious passion.

To fully express their love was to compliment their sound with the people who have inspired their discovery.

In 2007 they debuted with Dennis Ferrer. Apt really, as Dennis had crafted that years biggest dance record, where the chorus sang.. Deep...underground is my home. On the night, when Dennis dropped that tune, it brought the heat to Brixton.

In 2008 they introduced to London the youthful talents of The Martinez Brothers, and on that night they raised the roof. With Franck Roger and Alix Alvarez they illustrated once again the strength of this sound.

In 2009 they'll bring you more of the deepest warmest house. In the meantime explore their world, hear their sound, check out their wears, or simply download their productions exclusively through traxsource.com

Keep it Deep !!
